SayO’Clock – Clock that Speaks Out the Time
Review by on
I remember a colleague once asked me if I have the time – while she was sitting right in front of the computer, she went and asked me if I had the time. For a moment there I thought she was joking with me. She couldn’t possibly be asking me what the time is while sitting in front of the computer, not while the operating system displays the clock right there in the bottom right hand corner.

Perhaps she asked me because she couldn’t see the clock. Well, if she can’t see the clock, then she definitely can hear it (after all, she could hear me telling her what the time is). Instead of asking me, a software application could tell her what the time is. That application is SayO’Clock.

The application weighs in at littler over 2MB, so downloading it will take but a moment, especially on a high-speed internet connection. Once downloaded, the application can be installed just as swiftly – and easily I may add. Speaking of installing application, SayO’Clock should work without a problem on all versions of the Microsoft-developed Windows operating system.

Once installed and up and running, SayO’Clock does a simple job. At regular intervals of time, it speaks out the clock. The interface is not exactly the most beautiful thing in the world, but it is very simple to use. In the bottom left hand corner there’s a red button. Click that button and SayO’Clock will speak out the time. The main window displays the time. In the upper right hand corner there’s the minimize button; in the opposite corner there’s the close button. Press the hammer and you can access the application’s settings. From the Settings pane you can instruct SayO’Clock to start speaking out the time when it launches (at startup); and speak out the time between specific intervals of time (like between 1PM and 4PM if you want).

By default, SayO’Clock will speak out the time every minute. In the main interface, underneath the clock, there’s a slider. All the way to the left means SayO’Clock will not speak out the time. As you move it to the right, that amount of time increases. You can set up SayO’Clock to speak out the time every 5 minute, 8 minutes, and so on up to 60 minutes.

SayO’Clock is a very easy to use application that tells you what time it is.
